Cataract Gone

I have recently undergone cataract surgery, and while not life threatening, still terrifying. I was supposedly "sedated", but I remember every last detail of what happened. I had my hand gripped deathly on my shirt the entire time because I could feel slight pressures and see slight things. When I came back from the surgery, the immediately gave me juice and crackers. After a 40 minute car ride I threw up. It was awful. However, it was not as bad as it could have been. Thanks to God and Dr. B, the surgery, despite some complications, was a success. I will *hopefully* never need surgery in that eye again.

As a day has gone by, I realize the fun it is of having one eye with almost no pupil and the other eye with a giant pupil to make up for the lost one. I look like the terminator. I have gone well, keeping up with my eye drops and what not. I accidentally rubbed it today. Some sort of something oozed out of it. I literally almost threw up. NOT doing that again!!

I am thankful to my God above at how well this has gone through. I have already noticed one or two significant changes from before and after and I am so happy it went smoothly. I still worry, but I am learning to work through that and worry less. Hopefully in a few days my sight will return and all will be well.

Thank you, God. Thank you over and over again. I can see because of You.
